What a check engine light often means
- Misfires from worn coils, plugs or injectors
- Vacuum or intake leaks
- Oxygen and air-flow sensor faults
- Evaporative leaks, including a loose gas cap
- Throttle body and idle problems
Flashing vs. steady
A steady light means get it checked soon. A flashing light usually means an active misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. If it's flashing, ease off and call us before driving far.
Free code reads vs. a real diagnosis
Parts stores will read the code for free, and that's a fine first step. The code narrows it down, but the same code can come from several different parts. A diagnosis tests those parts so you don't replace three things to fix one.

What customers say
“Oil light showed up in the middle of driving. These guys saved my life.”
Questions
Is it safe to drive with the check engine light on?
If it's steady and the car drives normally, usually for a short time. If it's flashing, or the car is overheating or losing power, stop and call.
Will the light go off after the repair?
Yes. We clear the codes after the repair and confirm the fault doesn't come back during our test.
